PostworkShop Pro Edition Editor's Review

I've always been passionate about photography and image manipulation software and recently, I discovered a program that caught my attention: PostworkShop.

PostworkShop is a professional post-production photo effects software with hundreds of build-in effects that can be applied without much effort or skill to any image or photo. The software actually offers the possibility to transform or render your pictures into almost anything: oil painting or watercolor, pastel drawing or pencil sketch, abstract artwork or old-time photograph and many more.

The user interface of PostworkShop offers visually appealing Mac-like interface with simple and intuitive layout. The effects are displayed on the right hand side of the program window: the Drawing, Painting, Graphic Arts and Photo categories and each subcategory contains lots of effect presets (almost each with more settings and tweaks).

To get started using PostworkShop you'll just have to load an image into the program (you can do so by pressing 'Insert' on your keyboard) and then you can give your image an artistic look by applying any of the huge variety of styles and effects.

To test what PostworkShop can do, I loaded a rendered image and I applied some effects and the result was impressive. I could transform the originally rendered image (obviously digitally created) into an artistic-like image that probably no one would be able to tell from the original – and it actually was looking great.

Pluses: You can mix existing styles with layers; you can create your own styles with the Style Editor; you can apply styles to multiple objects; batch processing support;

Drawbacks / flaws: Definitely none;

In conclusion: An excellent piece of software for anyone who wishes to transform their pictures into works of art. This program definitely exceeds its cost in value – I really enjoyed playing with this program.
